Warning, this post contains themes of Mental Health.
This is the second in a three poem series that I wrote while going through a lot of my trauma as a Korean American immigrant. The poems are meant to show my progression in the struggles. This one is from my experiences from high school to college.
I do not fit in
Sophia Lee
I am too different
I will always have an accent
I will never catch up in English
Things will always be harder for me
No one will ever give me a chance
All I can do is to continue to build for the next generation
I do not fit in, and I will never be allowed to fit in
